Shin's connection with Findhorn Foundation

Shin's experience at Findhorn Foundation was central to his healing from cancer. His association with Findhorn has deepened over the years as he has continued to visit Findhorn and to introduce Findhorn and it's practices to Japanese people.

The connection with Findhorn started when Shin was invited as a speaker to the International Conference held in October 1988. He was the only person from Japan attending. At that time, he still had cancer in his right lung. Fearing that his condition might get worse, his wife, friends and doctors objected to his going to Findhorn. He was at a loss and could not decide whether he should go or not. His dear friends Akiko and Kouya Yamakawa helped him by channeling Shin's future. The channeling indicated that he was meant to go to Findhorn, and that by visiting there he could change the direction of his life and find his Guardian Angel. He decided to accept the invitation.

The subject of his talk to the participants at the Conference was "The Rise and Fall of Japan - from a Japanese man's perspective." He talked about how the increasing pollution in Japan affected the growing number of cancer patients, showing data as evidence. Then he spoke about his own experience of recovery from cancer and how he was helped by playing his cello daily. At the end of his talk, he played Pablo Casals' "Song of the Birds" and felt that the participants were deeply moved by the music. He stayed at Findhorn for about 40 days, loving his cancer and enjoying the hugging and loving energy of Findhorn people. On returning to Japan, he went to the hospital to have an X-ray examination and his lung cancer could not be found. His cancer had disappeared.

When Shin returned to Japan he received a letter from Findhorn, informing him that he had been nominated a Fellow of the Foundation. Being thus honored, he felt it his duty to introduce the spirit of Findhorn to Japanese people not yet acquainted with it, and since then this work has been an integral part of his activities. In 1999 Shin wrote a book in Japanese titled An Invitation to Findhorn. Through reading this book many Japanese now know about the Findhorn Findhorn and even travel there. Shin has organized several group tours from Japan to Findhorn.

Shin's work in healing with Subtle Energies & Energy Medicine dates from his personal experience of the Subtle Energies at Findhorn.
